The Vantec group is accelerating its moves into the global logistics markets, actively utilizing its unrivalled expertise in Japanese automotive logistics and international network of sea and air forwarding businesses, in response to the recent global moves of Japanese car manufacturers and parts suppliers.
In May, 2006, the Vantec group started inbound-to-manufacturing logistics services for a Japanese car manufacturer in Bangkok, Thailand. The group companies such as Vantec World Transport, a global freight forwarder, Vantec Corporation, a leader of automotive logistics in Japan, Ikeda-Unyu and Logimate, subsidiaries of Vantec Corp. have consolidated their resources in the successful ramp-up of this business.
The group companies collaborated in training local staff members so that they can achieve the same logistics quality as in Japan, and swiftly respond to the new logistics requirements by customers.

The Vantec group is expanding its logistics network also in China, where the car production and sales is growing rapidly. The group established Vantec Sumiso Logistics Co., Ltd, a joint-venture company in Wuhan in 2004, building up truck freight network for inbound auto component logistics predominantly in South China.

In response to the rapidly growing presence of world-famous car manufacturers in Guangzhou, the Vantec group established Vantec World Transport (Guangzhou) Co., LTd. The company handles forwarding operations and at the same time is approaching inbound auto logistics for Japanese parts manufacturers located in Guangzhou in cooperation with Vantec Sumiso Logistics Co., Ltd.

In 2006, the Group opened a distribution center, having a gross floor area of 9,000 m2, in Jiading district, in the suburbs of Shanghai. The DC distributes to dealers in China auto aftermarket parts imported from Japan.

- The Vantec group is accelerating its moves into the emerging markets. In November 2006, Vantec World Transport opened its representative office in Vienna, a gateway to Eastern Europe. The office has been promoting marketing and business support activities for the Japanese car manufacturers and electronics companies that have their branches and factories in Central and Eastern Europe. The group has also started study of business opportunities in Russia and India, which are supposed to grow rapidly in the near future.
- As the globalization of economies proceeds, more and more Japanese manufacturing capacities shift overseas, which leads to the increasing demand in international logistics. The Vantec group is determined to establish its brand name in the global arena by swiftly responding to the logistics requirements of globalizing customers such as car manufacturers and parts suppliers.
